LiveDrop raises $2.5 million in defense-focused round
LiveDrop, founded in 2021 in Eindhoven, develops proprietary technology for fast, secure, and fully offline data transfer using optical coding. The technology is designed for use within and outside of defense. The company has successfully closed an oversubscribed seed round of $2.5 million.
The twelve-person team focuses primarily on defense and security, with additional applications in cybersecurity, healthcare, and secure end devices.
QuantWare raises millions more in $27 million funding round
QuantWare, a leading supplier of quantum hardware based in Delft, has successfully raised an additional $4.5 million, bringing its Series A financing to a total of $27 million. This financial injection is expected to accelerate the development of their technology: a scaling method that will bring quantum processors to over one million qubits.
Rival Foods raises €10 million to scale up plant-based meat
A plant-based protein product with the same delicious bite as a good piece of meat. That's what they're working on at Rival Foods in Ede. The scale-up was founded in 2019 by Birgit Dekkers as a spin-off from Wageningen University & Research.
The €10 million investment round was led by pension investor APG. “This investment marks an important milestone in our mission to make high-quality plant-based meat mainstream,” said CEO Dekkers. “With the support of top investors, we are ready to scale up quickly and reshape the future of protein.”
EFFECT Photonics secures additional $24 million
EFFECT Photonics has raised $24 million, bringing its total funding to $62 million. The Eindhoven-based organization develops optical solutions that are part of the next generation of data centers and edge networks. The company, which focuses on photonic chip technology, specializes in creating highly integrated optical communication products that are key to managing and improving data flows across vast and complex network infrastructures using light.
AIKON Health raises €1.2 million for innovative heart care
AIKON Health, an Eindhoven-based medtech startup, has raised €1.2 million in seed funding to transform heart failure care. Their innovative wearable technology monitors key parameters such as hemodynamic function and fluid status to reduce hospital readmissions by at least 25%.
