Supersola, the manufacturer of solar panels with an integrated plug, is getting a new chance thanks to an investment from Green Impact Investing. With this restart, the company is introducing a new business model in which customers can not only buy the plug-and-play solar panels but also rent them.

Involvement of Green Impact Investing

Green Impact Investing, the investment fund established by the founders of energy supplier Greenchoice, plays a crucial role in the relaunch. This fund, which has been active since September, already has interests in various solar energy companies, such as Gutami and ForSur Solar.

Supersola was declared bankrupt in October 2024, after which the trustee investigated the possibilities for a restart in November. Although the company's turnover fell sharply from 1.6 million euros in 2023 to approximately 300,000 euros in 2024, Green Impact Investing still sees potential in the innovative solar panel concept.

Available for €6.50 per month

With the introduction of a rental model for €6.50 per month, the investors want to make solar energy accessible to a wider audience. Last weekend, the new Supersola supplier managed to sell fifteen panels. Even after the current supply has been sold out, the investor sees plenty of opportunities to turn solar panels into a profitable business.
