Pulse Sports wins 14th Dutch Sports Innovation Award.

Pulse Sports received the 14th Dutch Sports Innovation Award 2024. The prize, awarded during the ELIS Innovation Summit, is an incentive worth €15,000. Dorothee Laan, manager of Knowledge & Monitoring at the Beweegalliantie and jury member, and Samir Toub, alderman for sports in Eindhoven, presented the award in recognition of Pulse Sports' innovative approach to sports and wellness monitoring.
The Dutch Sports Innovation Award encourages innovative and promising products or services in the field of top sports or recreational sports. The award is presented annually to a company with a concept that stands out not only for its degree of innovation but also for its potential impact on the sports world and on a healthy, active lifestyle. This Cluster Sports & Technology initiative supports innovative startups in the Sport & Vitality domain and helps them realize their growth ambitions.
The independent jury for the 14th edition, consisting of Koen Lemmink (University of Groningen), Peter Kentie (Eindhoven365), Dorothee Laan (Beweegalliantie), Dirk Vinken (FGHS) and Jan Hoefnagels (independent consultant), selected three finalists from all entries from which Pulse Sports was chosen as the winner.

Pulse Sport is an athlete management and monitoring system designed to improve how sports teams and athletes monitor their physical and mental well-being. The innovation combines technology, data-driven insights, and a health and performance monitoring training response methodology.
The jury, led by Koen Lemmink, praised the innovation as a “practical solution that responds to a clear need in the market.” According to the jury, the close collaboration with knowledge partners and end users provides a solid basis for an effective market launch, with Europe as a starting point and plans for further global expansion.
In addition, the jury expressed appreciation for Pulse Sport's “holistic approach and the way the system integrates data from different sources.” This model offers coaches and athletes concrete support and provides a strong foundation for leveraging new AI developments and further refining personalized analytics and visual feedback. Moreover, the jury sees opportunities for Pulse Sport to become easily deployable in other sports and exercise sectors, allowing the product to prove its value beyond top-level sports.
