MantiSpectra today released ChipSense™ 2.0-16, an innovative spectral sensing component. Smaller, cheaper and more accurate than its predecessor, it enables material analysis and health insights for high-volume markets.

With its compact 4×4 mm footprint and enhanced selectivity, ChipSense™ 2.0-16 enables the measurement of biomarkers previously inaccessible in current wearables, introduces new smart functions in home appliances, and facilitates quality control in industrial settings.

“ChipSense™ 2.0-16 is the first product manufactured by our supply chain partners, marking MantiSpectra’s transition from a technology company to a fabless, scalable, and reliable component supplier,” said Maurangelo Petruzzella, CEO of MantiSpectra. “This release enables consumer and professional solution providers to integrate real-time material analysis and health insights into disruptive products.”

One chip, many options

The new chip integrates 16 photodetectors, each with 4 multi-peak responses spanning 550 to 1700 nm, the key region for chemometric analysis. These rich 'spectral fingerprints', combined with AI modelling, can make it a foundational element for applications where (bio)material classification and quantification are essential.

MantiSpectra designs, develops, and commercializes low-cost, miniaturized spectral sensing components for consumer and professional markets. By monolithically integrating photodetectors and optical filters on a single wafer, MantiSpectra enables customers to create innovative solutions that leverage the powerful insights provided by spectral analysis.
