Atawey, a French company specializing in hydrogen refueling stations, has expanded its operations to the High Tech Campus Eindhoven, establishing a strategic presence in the Netherlands' innovation hub. This move, supported by the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) and the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, aligns with Brabant's goal of becoming a leader in green mobility. With its innovative solutions, Atawey aims to address the anticipated 11.5 kiloton annual hydrogen demand in the Brainport Eindhoven region by 2030.
Founded in 2012 and based in the French Alps, the company is recognized for its modular and high-performance solutions, which are ideally suited to meet the high-demand mobility needs of both captive fleets and transit corridors. Atawey has recently closed a €22 million equity fundraising round to accelerate its industrial scale-up.
Hydrogen for Brainport
“The opening of our office at High Tech Campus means much more than a new location: it’s a strategic milestone to be closer to our customers and partners,” says Geoffroy Ville, International Business Development Manager at Atawey. “By engaging in local collaborations, we can offer tailor-made solutions, supported by expert and responsive local teams, to ensure maximum service quality and equipment availability.”
“We are proud to welcome Atawey to Brabant and to have supported their entry into the Dutch hydrogen landscape,” says Lissa Pons, Senior Project Manager at BOM. "Their expertise in flexible hydrogen refueling stations plays a key role in our journey toward climate-neutral mobility. By connecting Atawey with our network of public and private partners, we are building a strong foundation for sustainable growth together.”
