Eliyan, a fast-growing semiconductor innovator from Silicon Valley, has officially landed at High Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Founded in Santa Clara, California in 2021, Eliyan is at the forefront of the global shift toward chiplet-based design – a modular approach to building faster, more efficient chips that power the future of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. With its new R&D design center, Eliyan will innovate at the intersection of the Netherlands’ robust semicon value chain and cutting-edge AI development.

At the heart of Eliyan’s mission is solving one of the semiconductor industry’s biggest challenges: how to move data faster and more efficiently between components within AI and computing systems. Eliyan has developed an advanced interconnect technology that enables higher bandwidth and lower power consumption between chiplets, unlocking scalability and efficiency for next-generation AI infrastructure in a time of growing market demand.

Unlike other approaches, Eliyan’s modular design technology can deliver these performance benefits not only on cutting-edge advanced packaging substrates, but also on standard organic substrates – making it more cost-effective and broadly applicable across industries. From hyperscale data centers to consumer electronics, Eliyan’s solutions help overcome bottlenecks in data movement to enable faster, greener AI systems. This revolutionary technology allows users to unleash the performance capabilities of the smart systems of the future.

A perfect fit for the Dutch high-tech ecosystem

Eliyan’s decision to establish an R&D design center in Eindhoven was driven by multiple factors. Operating in a highly competitive market, the company sees the region’s rich talent pool, especially in analog chip design, and the collaborative spirit of the Brainport ecosystem as vital to fueling global growth and innovation. In this regard, the cluster of knowledge surrounding Eindhoven epitomizes the strengths of the wider Dutch high-tech sector.

Edward Paulus, Senior Director Eliyan: “Eindhoven stood out because of its unique concentration of semiconductor expertise and its culture of open innovation. By joining the High Tech Campus community, we are ideally positioned to strengthen our global R&D operations and accelerate our engagement with the European A.I. and semiconductor market.”

Tapping into Europe’s innovation landscape

Furthermore, the Netherlands offers Eliyan an ideal base to connect with Europe’s innovation network. The company’s strategy is based on a philosophy of openness and collaboration across various industry ecosystems. High Tech Campus Eindhoven is the ideal place to tap into a broad community of innovators. Known as “the smartest square kilometer in Europe,” it is home to more than 300 high-tech companies, research institutions and startups. This collaborative ecosystem provides Eliyan with opportunities to co-develop new solutions with partners across the semiconductor and photonics value chain.

The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency and Invest in Holland regional partner Brabant Development Agency (BOM) are proud to welcome Eliyan to the Dutch innovation community and look forward to supporting its journey in Europe’s smartest region.
