Integer Technologies, an Eindhoven-based startup, has secured €1 million in investment to accelerate the rollout of its AI-driven platform for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) optimization. The platform enables HVAC installers to deliver advanced optimization without specialized programming or building management expertise, connecting and optimizing data from all HVAC components to achieve up to 40% energy savings, reduce grid congestion, and automate compliance with European regulations.

Integer Technologies emerged in December 2021 as a spin-off from Team CASA, a student team at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). The company's roots lie in the CASA 1.0 project, a collaboration with entities such as Woonbedrijf and Hurks, which created a sustainable apartment complex that is independent of the energy grid.

“In a sector where skilled technical personnel are increasingly scarce, we’re giving installers a tool they can deploy in days, instead of months,” says Antoine Post, CEO and Co-Founder of Integer Technologies. “With our AI and physics-driven models, we’re making world-class building optimization accessible for everyone.”

A solution for a growing challenge

The funding round was led by LUMO Labs with participation from the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) and VP Capital. “Integer Technologies presents a scalable solution for a growing challenge,” states Dagmar van Ravenswaay Claasen, Senior Partner at LUMO Labs. She continues, “This investment allows Integer’s growing team to expand into new markets and specifically target small and medium-sized commercial buildings—a segment long underserved due to the high costs and complexity of existing solutions. By lowering the barrier for installers, Integer enables significantly more building owners to cut energy costs, to comply with regulations, and to reduce their environmental footprint.”

Integer Technologies addresses the increasing complexity of integrating various sustainable energy sources in buildings. Co-founder Pau Brossa Rodriguez noted that many people avoid switching to sustainable energy installations due to their complexity and the high costs associated with poorly managed energy systems. The Integer platform automates the setup and parameterization of energy installations using high-level inputs from installers, streamlining the process. This simplification is crucial, especially with rising energy prices and stricter regulations driving the need for alternatives to fossil fuels.

Backing innovation

“At VP Capital, we back innovations that accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future. Integer Technologies has developed a scalable solution that boosts building energy efficiency and drives substantial energy savings, helping reduce carbon emissions and build a cleaner, more resilient future. We’re proud to be part of this round alongside trusted partners like LUMO Labs and BOM,” says Jeroen Heine, Director Investments at VP Capital.

Daan van Lange, Senior Investment Manager & Team Lead Climate Tech at BOM, confirms and concludes: “Integer Technologies transforms every building into a smart energy hub, unlocking flexibility that directly tackles grid congestion. Their scalable platform delivers efficiency, resilience, and carbon reduction — making Integer a cornerstone of the decentralized energy future and a compelling investment for BOM.”
