Invest-NL, the Dutch sovereign wealth fund, has invested €7.5 million in Shift Invest IV. This impact fund, managed by venture capital firm Shift Invest, focuses on accelerating sustainable innovations in energy, mobility, agrifood, and the circular economy. The first closing of the fund has reached €92 million, with plans to reach a total of €150 million. This investment aims to unlock more private capital and support impactful ventures that will make the Netherlands more sustainable, innovative, and resilient.
SHIFT Invest IV is targeting technology companies in their early to growth phases, specifically those developing solutions to address climate change, resource scarcity, and biodiversity loss. The fund is set to invest in both hardware and software solutions, ranging from circular materials and precision agriculture to smart energy technologies. This strategy aligns with the broader mission of fostering a sustainable economy by supporting technology-driven startups.
