$1 billion for Dutch AI and cloud services

Tech giant Oracle is investing $1 billion (€850 million) in its data center in Amsterdam to offer more AI services. The money will be used to meet the rapidly growing demand for AI and cloud services. To this end, the company is significantly expanding its infrastructure in Amsterdam. This will enable more companies, start-ups, and government organizations to use Oracle's technology.
With this expansion, Oracle aims to help companies in sectors such as finance, logistics, healthcare, and energy to transition to the cloud more easily and make use of the latest AI applications.
Privacy and data security
Oracle emphasizes that it takes European privacy and data security regulations into account. Dutch and European customers who work with sensitive or regulated data can also count on support via Oracle's EU Sovereign Cloud.

This also applies to the thriving startup and SME sector. With this step, we want to enable innovation in data and AI and contribute to greater productivity, resilience, and sustainable growth."
