Student team InMotion<\/a> – from the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands – won the Dutch Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) Best Student Team Award. The award ceremony occurred during the Automotive Week<\/a> 2023 at Automotive Campus<\/a> in Helmond, writes the campus in a press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intelligent solutions for societal challenges<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The five finalists (Forze Hydrogen Electric Racing Delft, Green Team Twente, InMotion, Solar Team Eindhoven, and Team Polar) proved to add knowledge and expertise to automotive research and industry. The nominated student teams presented themselves before a jury that eventually crowned team InMotion the winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The technology contributes to fast charging, an essential step in accelerating development toward greater acceptance of electric charging. That ultimately earned team InMotion the award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are really proud to be awarded the KIVI Best Student Team Award 2023 and to charge ahead together. This summer, we will deliver our Next Generation Battery Pack, which will allow us to reduce our 12-minute charge time to just a few minutes. This will bring us closer towards Electric Refueling: charging an electric car as fast as refueling a petrol power car\u201d, said Julia Niemeijer, team manager of InMotion<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n

Congratulations by the Minister of Transport <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Award consists of a freely spendable sum of money, respectively 3000 for the winner and 1000 euros for the other teams. In addition, the winner and the Automotive Innovation Award 2023 winner will receive speaking time at the RAI Automotive Industry NL<\/a> conference in the fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dutch Minister of Transport, Mark Harbers also congratulated the students, who showed him their technology during his visit to Automotive Week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
