Royal Philips achieved the status of Industry Group leader in the Capital Goods category of the 2016 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). Philips\u2019 overall score was 92 out of 100 points, which – according to the company – “underlines Philips\u2019 ongoing commitment to sustainability as an integral part of the company\u2019s business practices”.<\/p>\n
This is the fourth consecutive year that Philips has been included in the Industrial Conglomerates category, which aggregates into the Capital Goods industry group, and the first time that Philips has been named Industry Group Leader in this category.<\/p>\n
“In its annual evaluation, DJSI recognized Philips\u2019 strong performance of its Green Operations program”, Philips states in a press release. “Notably the reduction of its carbon footprint by 40% from 2007 to 2015, the sales of its Green Products and the investments in its employees.” The highest scores were obtained in the climate strategy, operational eco-efficiency and corporate citizenship and philanthropy (100 out of 100 points) categories.<\/p>\n
