<\/a><\/p>\nDe gemeente Helmond is al langer bezig met het dit idee. Daarvoor voerde zij gesprekken met de provincie en gemeente Eindhoven. Maar ook met TU\/e onderzoeker Elphi Nelissen<\/a> is er een gesprek geweest.<\/p>\n Op dit moment is de wijk Brandevoort voor de helft af. Met die bewoners en met mogelijke toekomstige bewoners van de slimme wijk zal gesproken worden over wat zij verstaan onder ‘smart village’.<\/p>\n Ideale locatie<\/strong><\/p>\n Bouwen<\/strong><\/p>\n De volgende stap die de gemeente zet, is het bouwklaar maken van de grond en gesprekken voeren met partners. Er is plaats voor maximaal 1650 woningen. De locatie van de living lab is volgens de gemeente de ideaal. De grond in de Helmondse buitenwijk Brandevoort is beschikbaar, het is dichtbij de Automotive Campus, de Food Tech Campus en diverse onderwijsinstituten.<\/p>\n
