Research will be carried out at the Solliance pilot production facilities on the <a href=\"http:\/\/hightechcampus.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">High Tech Campus<\/a> in Eindhoven, and in the research facilities of Holst-partner imec in Leuven, Belgium.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are extremely pleased with Panasonic\u2019s decision to join our program&#8221;, states Huib van den Heuvel, director at Solliance. &#8220;With this step Panasonic strengthens the industrial participation in this exciting research field.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Solliance is active in the field of thin film photovoltaic solar energy and provides laboratories and pilot production lines which are jointly used for research programs. The agreement gives Panasonic access to processing equipment and expertise suited to the development of its revolutionary Perovskite Solar Cell (PSC) technology on flexible substrates.<\/p>\n<p>Panasonic will conduct the feasibility studies on the possibility of large scale roll-to-roll production of printed PSCs under this program. &#8220;We very much appreciate the cooperation with Solliance. Its roll-to-roll pilot production infrastructure and the know-how related to PSCs is world class&#8221;, states Toshihiro Higuchi, Panasonic resident working within the joint research team at Solliance.<\/p>\n<p>Panasonic has been industrial partner in several of imec\u2019s research programs since 2004 and in the \u2018<em>large area flexible electronics program<\/em>\u2019 at Holst Centre since 2009, and intends to build on the capabilities and experience that have been developed so far.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Panasonic Corporation has joined Solliance in a research program concerning the development of roll-to-roll manufacturing processes aimed at large scale production of flexible perovskite solar cells as one of the industrial partners.
