But almost 900 people more made the opposite move. This &#8220;loss&#8221; is, however, more than offset by the number of people from abroad who came to Eindhoven: more than 6,000 people came to Eindhoven, while about 4,000 left the city for another country. Bottom line: Eindhoven grew by just over 1,300 people in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Bureau of Statistics today published those figures.<\/p>\n<p>In the past 15 years the outflow out of Eindhoven was never as big as in 2015. But because the inflow also broke records, Eindhoven remains on course for growth.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"localfocusvisual\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 550px; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/localfocus2.appspot.com\/56cae42d6c463\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>If we only look at the domestic movements see this pattern:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"localfocusvisual\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 550px; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/localfocus2.appspot.com\/56caeaf50294e\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>When we look at immigration and emigration (the movements to and from abroad), the highs and lows are more pronounced:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"localfocusvisual\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 550px; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/localfocus2.appspot.com\/56caebf771b7a\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In Amsterdam, The Hague and Utrecht the outflows to other cities have also become bigger than the inflow. Often the destination was one of the nearby municipalities. Most larger cities grew mainly through immigration.
