The money comes from the Energy Transition Fund Rotterdam and a private investor deeply rooted in Rotterdam’s tech sector. The company said in a press release that the investment will allow zepp.solutions<\/a> to expand its business activities further. It is the first external capital injection for the company, which has grown into a multi-million dollar company since its founding in 2017. This expansion is a strategic move to capitalize on rising market demand for zepp. solutions’ systems as the European hydrogen sector continues to move toward implementation on a larger scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rotterdam Alderman Chantal Zeegers commented on the investment, “The Rotterdam region is responsible for one-fifth of all CO\u2082 emissions in the Netherlands. We need to reduce these emissions to zero by 2050. Technology-intensive companies like zepp.solutions are a big part of the solution and help build a sustainable hydrogen ecosystem. Rotterdam is happy to participate through our Energy Transition Fund.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enabling zero emissions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Zepp.solutions is a Dutch developer of hydrogen fuel cell systems. Zepp’s products contain all the hardware and software needed to convert hydrogen gas into usable electricity with high efficiency and unmatched power density. These systems are designed for medium to heavy-duty applications, allowing truck or machinery manufacturers and shipyards to move to emission-free technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, zepp.solutions received a \u20ac2 million grant from the European Just Transition Fund to support the development of a new assembly plant in the Rotterdam region, which will produce 1,000 systems per year and create about 100 new jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n
