The company produced its processing lines and positioned itself as a sustainable, innovative recycling company. The company has a plant in Montfort, the Netherlands, with an annual processing capacity equal to the amount of plastic packaging waste from more than half a million Dutch people each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stiphoutindustries.eu\/\">Stiphout<\/a>&#8216;s successful concept also caught the eye of the outside world, resulting in the company being acquired half by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lyondellbasell.com\/\">LyondellBasell<\/a> last week. Amounts were not disclosed in the announcements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"io-block io-block__summary\"><ul><li>LyondellBasell has taken a 50% stake in Stiphout Industries.<\/li><li>Both companies focus on a circular and low-carbon world, primarily through plastics recycling.<\/li><li>Stiphout won a Gerard &amp; Anton Award in 2017 with TUSTI.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Investing in Stiphout is in line with our strategy focused on plastic waste recycling and processing companies that support our existing assets in the Netherlands and Germany,&#8221; said Yvonne van der Laan, LyondellBasell&#8217;s executive vice president for circular and low-carbon solutions. &#8220;This partnership allows us to leverage local synergies with our Quality Circular Polymers business around logistics and operations. TUSTI is an ambitious high-tech recycling company founded in 2015 through the collaboration of Eindhoven University of Technology and Stiphout (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stiphoutindustries.eu\/en\" target=\"_blank\">Stiphout Industries<\/a>,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/stiprecycling.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stip Recycling<\/a>, and&nbsp;Stiphout Plastics). These companies combine experience in plastics recycling and high-tech knowledge at the university level.
