Seenons was built to act as a “waste director” to accelerate the circular transition. In 4 years, Seenons has grown from an innovative idea to an international company with more than 75 employees and can call itself Europe’s leading circular platform. “We are very proud to announce that our company successfully raised \u20ac10 million in a recent funding round, even in difficult macroeconomic conditions,” says Joost Kamermans, co-founder and CEO of Seenons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Urgency for circularity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The recent news that the Netherlands is importing waste from Rome to run its incinerators shows the urgency to become more circular, according to Kamermans. “Countries all over Asia and Africa refuse to accept European waste, and now it is being passed on to each other here. Our goal is to invest in a world without waste, which is more important than ever, considering climate change, resource depletion, and geopolitical tensions that call for more strategic autonomy. We aim to eliminate incineration, the use of landfills, and the dumping of waste in our oceans; there is no time to lose.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Invest-NL<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the road together<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Martin Kayser, co-founder of Seenons and CTO: “With this funding, we want to enable higher steps on the R-ladder: Reduce \/ Reuse \/ Recycle, in multiple European countries.
