The fuel system of the new scooter is especially remarkable. The hydrogen is actually stored in rechargeable refill cartridges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-8d602d1c-f18d-4145-8cd5-d224e371df9a\">Hydrogen cartridges<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-0f11ce1b-5525-453c-acf0-0a1fe1758487\">Each of the cartridges has an autonomous range of 15 kilometers. A scooter can have three or four of these stashed under its saddle, giving a total autonomous range of about 60 kilometers. The hydrogen feeds the fuel cells that produce the electrical energy to power the scooter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"block-f87f3b90-1e2c-4c82-8211-a189536e0e6b\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.ioplus.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/img-20210408-wa0023_1440x405.jpg\" alt=\"waterstofpatronen\"\/><figcaption>Hydrogen cartridges \u00a9 Stor-H<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-0fa1b68b-a32a-4ee3-876b-b5ccf15b55f1\">Refuelling <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-9fdc6467-bee2-4967-86ea-4bb2184e62de\">The refill cartridges are the size of a kind of double-sized soda can. The great advantage of this is that the cartridges can be removed and put back in place in a jiffy. This replaceable system speeds up the process of &#8216;refueling&#8217;. According to the developers, the refill cartridges can be recharged indefinitely, even thousands of times, and are fully recyclable. They are filled with green hydrogen, i.e. hydrogen obtained using renewable energy.
