Just a year ago she was still on the stage of IO’s Gerard and Anton Awards<\/a>, now she received two very different awards from Prince Constantijn van Oranje and Ivanka Trump: the Outstanding Women Entrepreneur in Science and Technology award and the Runner-Up price in the Health focus area. Sol Cabrera, together with her business partner Bart Sanders, has convincingly demonstrated that the solutions devised by STENTiT can have a global impact. Both awards are part of the Global Innovation through Science & Technology (GIST) Catalyst pitch competition.<\/p>\n

STENTiT<\/a> is a spin-off of TU Eindhoven and focuses on regenerating the arteries without invasive surgery.<\/p>\n

The prizes were awarded today during the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES)<\/a> in The Hague. The pitch competition, organized in collaboration with the Dutch Academic Start-Up Competition, started with 4,000 candidates from all over the world, 30 of which made it to the finals.<\/p>\n

In addition to the honour and exposure, STENTiT won $38,000 in credits from private sponsors IBM, Google and AWS, a booth at CES 2020 and an interview with the Silicon Valley Bank.<\/p>\n
