Subsidies en financi\u00eble bijdragen aan de culturele organisaties komen vanaf volgend jaar niet langer rechtsreeks van\u00a0de gemeente maar van\u00a0de net opgerichte stichting Cultuur Eindhoven. De stichting is sinds deze week\u00a0actief, met directeur\/kwartiermaker Thomas van Dalen en drie leden van de Raad van Toezicht in het bestuur. Cultuur Eindhoven zal de gemeenteraad adviseren op de inhoudelijke kaders van het cultuurbeleid en l\u00e1\u00e1t zich adviseren door maximaal 21 kunst- en cultuurspecialisten en vertegenwoordigers uit de samenleving.<\/p>\n
\u201cEen heuglijk moment\u201d, noemt wethouder Mary-Ann Schreurs de oprichting van deze stichting.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cOmdat het binnen Nederland uniek is dat er een onafhankelijke, meewerkende organisatie is die zich begeeft tussen politiek en publiek en die de cultuursector een gezicht kan geven. Subsidies en fondsen, maar ook de cultuurscan worden belangrijke instrumenten waarbij Eindhoven op politiek niveau kan bepalen hoe met publiek geld kan worden omgegaan. Die scan blijft levend, het beleid kan blijven meeveranderen.\u201c<\/p>\n
Ook Thomas van Dalen noemt deze vorm van organisatie nieuw en vooruitstrevend, uitzonderlijk goed passend bij Eindhoven: \u201cEen gemeenteraad die kan controleren en nauw samenwerkt met een stichting die transparant optreedt als partner van de culturele instellingen: dat ambi\u00ebren veel steden, maar hier wordt het werkelijkheid.\u201d<\/p>\n
