The Brainport Eindhoven region has tonight unveiled its new strategy for attracting and retaining foreign talent, billed as the Brainport ‘Talent Attraction Program’.<\/p>\n
Building on research into the recruitment and living experience of expats in the Brainport region, the new program is an effort at maximising the region’s attractiveness in an increasingly competitive global jobs market. With\u00a0an estimated\u00a07,000 IT and tech vacancies expected across the region this year alone,\u00a0and\u00a0concerns that the local labour\u00a0supply is not keeping pace with economic growth (estimated at 4.9% in 2017), Brainport Development\u00a0is bidding\u00a0to make Eindhoven an internationally recognised hotspot for global talent.<\/p>\n
Central to\u00a0its plan is a focus on a unified branding strategy\u00a0across all companies in the region,\u00a0with businesses being\u00a0given access to an ‘Employer Branding Toolkit’<\/a>, enabling them to include Brainport branded content and information\u00a0in their own promotional online material.<\/p>\n Also revealed at the launch, held at the city’s Natlab, is the Brainport’s brand new international website<\/a>,<\/a> geared towards promoting the region to a global audience of prospective employees, with the centrepiece of the new site\u00a0being a\u00a0centralised and automatically updated job vacancies board, featuring\u00a0tech and IT job opportunities from companies across the\u00a0entire Brainport region.<\/p>\n The website\u00a0will additionally\u00a0feature video content highlighting examples of innovation going on throughout the region, profiles of its most successful companies, together with testimonials from expats currently residing in the region.
