\nAdditive Industries is expanding its operations for industrial 3D metal printing equipment and software development, sales and service to North America. The main reason for the Eindhoven,\u00a0Strijp-S based company to start a branch in America is time-to-market. “<\/span>Realizing time is critical in bringing production 3D printing solutions to North America, Additive Industries hired additive manufacturing veteran Shane Collins to lead the Process & Application Development Center which will be established in Southern California”, Additive’s Irina Schatorj\u00e9 explains.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the implementation of its systems in Europe at companies like Airbus, BMW and GKN, Additive Industries is now ready to expand\u00a0into North America. “To meet the challenges of the most demanding applications, Additive Industries will establish its new North American Process & Application Development Center within the surging California aerospace and astronautics markets.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Shane Collins<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n

Shane Collins will build a team of metal 3D printing professionals and will be involved in expanding the installed base of the MetalFAB1, industrial metal 3D printing system, in industries like aerospace, automotive and medical devices. <\/span>Collins, who was Director of additive manufacturing programs at CalRAM before joining the Additive Industries team, has a twenty-year track record in the production 3D printing industry. \u201cI\u2019ve spent my career furthering the advancement of production applications in the 3D printing industry.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The MetalFAB1 is the only metal 3D printing system on the market that integrates powder bed fusion with post-processing to enable consistent quality and unattended operation.
