Een van de keynotes komt daar van Lightwave Logic CEO dr. Michael Lebby. Kern van zijn boodschap: Photonic Integration Circuits (PIC&#8217;s) zijn de drijvende kracht achter diverse innovatieve producten.<\/p>\n<p>Lebby geeft een overzicht van de datacommunicatie-omgeving\u00a0en de prestaties van PICs daarbinnen. Zijn bedrijf\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lightwavelogic.com\">Lightwave Logic<\/a>\u00a0focust zich op de ontwikkeling van een nieuwe generatie fotonische devices en niet-lineaire <em>optical polymer materials systems<\/em> voor applicaties in high-speed fiber-optische datacommunicati systemen en telecommunicatie.<\/p>\n<p>De Photonic Integration Conference is een congres voor technici dat zich\u00a0uitsluitend richt op PIC-gebaseerde technologie\u00ebn en sprekers en deelnemers aantrekt van over de hele wereld.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Lebby\u2019s presentatie is gebaseed op een eerder gepubliceerde studie van hem: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.phiconference.com\/program\">PICs are Enabling Innovative Products<\/a>.\u201d De lezing gaat in op de explosieve groei van gei\u00ef\u00efntegreerde fotonica\u00a0in datacenters\u00a0en telecom netwerken\u00a0maar ook voor\u00a0toepassingen buiten de telecommunicatie.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Lebby over zijn\u00a0optreden in Eindhoven:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;Our company has again peaked interest from the fiber communications eco-system community<\/strong>,<strong> and is being asked to present technical results on our polymer based PIC technology platform. We believe that polymer platform is the solution that can address cost-effective performance scaling of short haul fiber-based communication systems as data rates approach 400Gbps and beyond. This conference brings together key stakeholders who are both developing and looking for technology platforms that solve the primary problem that has hampered the ability of the fiber communications eco-system to profitably keep pace with the almost limitless proliferation of data.
